Washing Capacity & Operational Strengths
Monnet Group carries out Coal Washing Operations at following Locations:-
In House Consumption
- 4.2 MTPA plant at Kalari (Ranchi) in N.K. Coalfields in collaboration with M/s Daniels of USA.
- 2.2 MTPA washery at Angul, in Talcher Coal Fields, Orissa in collaboration with J-Coal of Japan.
- 2.0 MTPA non coking coal washery at Raigarh in Chattisgarh with indigenous technology.
- 3.0 MTPA non coking coal washery at Bachra in NK Coalfields, Jharkhand with indigenous technology.
Washeries for Public Sector Undertakings
The group has plans for constructing the following washeries under BOM scheme for Coal India Ltd. and bids have been submitted for the following washeries:
- Madhubad Washery of BCCL – 5.0 MTPA – Coking Coal
- Patherdih Washery of BCCL – 5.0 MTPA – Coking Coal
- Dugda Washery of BCCL – 2.5 MTPA – Coking Coal
- Ashok Washery of CCL – 10 MTPA – Non-Coking Coal
- Basundhara Washery of MCL – 10 MTPA – Non-Coking Coal
- Jagannath Washery of MCL – 10 MTPA – Non-Coking Coal
Processes in Use
The following processes are used in washing of coal
- Dry beneficiation process – Rotary Breaker Circuits
- Wet beneficiation process – HM Bath, HM Cyclone, Hydro Cyclones, Butuc Jigs
- De-watering process – De-watering screens, Belt – press, High Frequency screens, centrifuges etc
Specifications
- For Sponge Iron with ash content in the washed coal in the range of 26-28%
- For power sector with ash content in the washed coal in the range of 28-34%
- For power sector using pulverized hish ash coal in the range of 55-56%
Monnet Group has a well established state of the art technology laboratory at our Kalari (Ranchi) washery in NK Coalfields, a Research and Development laboratory with most sophisticated equipment for testing coal built at Raigarh (Chattisgarh).
