Monnet Group, being one of the pillars holding infrastructure afloat, believes in giving back to the people and agencies, who have made it possible and transformed it into reality.

It has been this ideal that has transformed the vision and now – The Monnet Foundation has been registered as a trust, set up by Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd.  It aims to create a spectrum of opportunities in partnership with communities, individuals and organizations  and is dedicated  towards implementation of the goals of the group.

Looked after by Ms. Seema Jajodia, the Monnet Foundation is a supporter & founder of various charities, people benefit institutions and most important, infrastructure building and sustainable development. Currently, it is supporting interventions in the States of Chattisgarh, Orissa and Delhi.

With above plan, all areas surrounding the properties and units of Monnet Group, are provided various complimentary facilities like early childhood learning, primary education, life skills, sexual and reproductive health of women and adolescents, vocational training, safe & clean drinking water for rural communities, access to electricity, preference for local employment, women empowerment amongst other essential requirements – all this in a vast expanse of lush green land maintained by Monnet Group.

Monnet Foundation also supports programs for working children (Khoj, Delhi) & Mentally Challanged Children (Sahan).

To give a push to the pace of development activities, the Foundation has started collaborative approach by engaging the family members of of employees to participate in the social work program implementation.
Nevertheless, it is just a beginning for Monnet Foundation and there is a lot more to be done and achieved.

Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd. in turn has doubled the annual allocation to the Monnet Foundation to 1% of its profits with an objective of enlarging the scope of socio economic development in the surrounding areas.

Primary Education

Monnet Foundation has made it their personal responsibility to ensure the children receive proper, adequate and quality education. Following this initiative, the Monnet DAV Public School was launched along with other such facilities. Education must not be denied to any child, as defined by the Indian law and Monnet Group would like to honour this commitment.

Health & Hygiene

Understanding the needs of the common man, Monnet Foundation has made health care provision a matter of primary attention.

Health FacilitiesIn addition to the Medical Services available to the employees inside the works, it is the focus towards over all health of the employee and his near family that has resulted in the beginning of hospitals and health care clinics under the responsible Monnet Group name. These services are provided to both, our employees and the areas around Monnet Group properties. This is an initiative to give back to the people who work hard and support the group through the years of contributions made by them.

Health Melas are held by the Health Administrators where the public at large is given primary medical care and vaccinations and guided for further treatment and advise. Camps are organised in villages for rendering information on practice of hygiene and methods for prevention of diseases explained. Clean drinking water is provided and clean toilets are setup and maintained in target villages.

The group has provided vital medical care equipments and infrastructure at its plants and units and maintains Ambulances and mobile units for reaching out far and wide within the target populace.

Vocational Training

A. Vocational Training for Livelihood:

VocationalTraining1. Monnet Group conducts training programs in its CSR target areas for the youth and women in various field of craft and skills. This enables them to under take a profession or trade for earning their livelihood. Women empowerment is attained through classes for stitching, tailoring, sewing, embroidery and knitting. Distribution of sewing machines is also carried out to provide basic equipment to the needy for carrying out the trade.

2. Students who have discontinued their further education are encouraged to take up electrician and Fitter training classes so as to enable take up these trades as their livelihoods.

3. Tainting is also imparted through the ITI supported by Monnet Group in other skilled trades as well.

B. Infrastructure Development: It the endeavor at Monnet Group to keep providing basic amnesties to people residing in surrounding areas. Construction of facilities has been done as follows:

1. Construction of boundary wall for the school.
2. Construction of toilets in schools and other areas
3. Shed construction inside the hospital
4. Renovation of old school buildings
5. Construction of waiting hall in the hospital
6. Excavation and digging of water tank
7. Construction of concrete roads.
8. Construction of Multi Gym.
