Monnet Foundation organises free mega health camp

The health & hygiene initiative drive to help 9 villages (401 Beneficiaries)

Raipur, CG, 30^th January 2011: Monnet Foundation, the CSR arm of Monnet Ispat and Energy Limited organized a day long free health camp for residents of 9 villages (401 Beneficiaries) across Raipur. 11 Medical Specialists from Paediatrics, Skin, ENT, Gynaecologists, Physicians, Dentists, Pathologists, Eye Care and Dermatologists from reputed medical institutions were a part of the camp to provide quality health services and consultation to the deprived community of the remote areas. Special arrangements were in place for detecting the presence of cancer especially in women.

The health camp was organised in the Maina Devi Swasthya Kendra, Monnet staff colony at Mandir Hasaud. Monnet Foundation invited doctors from reputed medical institutions to ensure that villagers benefit from the medical facilities/consultation by getting the best of Doctors in their neighbourhood without having to spend any money.

Commenting on the occasion, Foundation representative said, “At Monnet group it has been our constant endeavour to contribute towards the development and wellbeing of the community at large. Through this social initiative Monnet Group tries to extend a helping hand to the section of the society who are not able to have access to modern/ state of the art medical facilities available in their vicinity.”

These initiatives are besides our other endeavours of imparting good education through our Monnet DAV Public Schools and through Monnet Foundation’s Vocational Training Centres develop skills for the community at large for a sustainable livelihood.”
