Mr. Sandeep Jajodia is a visionary whose commitment and passion have built the Monnet Group to be a formidable Industrial conglomerate in India.

Born in Kolkatta, Mr. Jajodia showed his business spark at an early age by envisaging the potential and opportunities associated with the steel sector. Armed with rigorous training in critical aspects of marketing, strategy formation and international business, Mr. Jajodia started his career foraying into manufacturing by setting up the Monnet Group’s first Ferro Alloy Unit in 1991 at a capital cost of Rs.1.7 Cr. He further implemented projects requiring investments of more than Rs. 10000 Cr for a 1.5 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Raigarh and 1050 MW Independent Power Plant in Angul.

Mr. Jajodia’s comprehensive grasp of the intricacies of every aspect of the business nurtured the Group from a ferro alloy manufacturer to a fully integrated primary steel player with interests in sponge iron, mining, ferro alloys steel power generation, real estate and coal washing.

He has a clear business philosophy of adding value to existing business operations by leveraging its competitive edge acquired through backward and forward integration.

Mr. Jajodia, besides being the driving force behind the growth of the Monnet Group, is also actively involved in other aspects relevant to industry and society. He has held the prestigious position as the President of ASSOCHAM, India’s largest and oldest industry body responsible for coordination and interfacing between the industry body of the country and the governement. He has also been the Chairman of the Sponge Iron Manufacturers Association (SIMA).

He is also committed to social and economic development of the country and has engaged in CSR activities, promoting various programmes through the Monnet Foundation such as opening Monnet DAV schools for underpriveledged children, starting vocational training programmes for the economic self reliance of women and creating health facilities for the benefit of the local communities.
