Building sustainable livelihoods forms an important part of the CSR initiatives undertaken by Monnet Group. Through Monnet Foundation the Group conducts training programs for the youth and women in various fields of craft and skills. This training results in imparting them the ability to undertake a profession or trade for earning their livelihood.

Monnet Foundation's CSR policy focuses on Sustainable Livelihood by conducting training programmes in its CSR target areas for youth and women in various fields of craft and skills. These programmes help them to undertake a profession or trade for earning their livelihoods.

Carrying forward Monnet Foundation's CSR policy that aims at bringing about a radical transformation in the quality of life of people living in and around the operation areas of the Group, the Monnet Foundation has launched a number of positive interventions in social welfare programmes by taking up causes in the fields of community Health, Education, Women Empowerment, Sustainable Livelihood and Infrastructure Development.

Adopted 9 villages in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, Monnet Foundation is also committed towards providing quality education and providing proper infrastructure to the weaker section of the society and has adopted 9 villages - Naharpali, Singhanpur, Bilaspur, Bhupdevpur, Pilaipali, Lodhajhar, Rakshapali, Shalihabhatha, kurrubhatha in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

Women Empowerment

Even as a significant part of the Group's businesses are located in and around some of the country's most mineral rich states, the scope and necessity to improve the lives and conditions of many of the communities around its facilities is immense especially among the women. To enable women achieve financial independence, the Monnet Foundation has been imparting training in income generation activities like tailoring & stitching, white phenyl making, candle making, backyard poultry farming, etc.
